Keep the Faith, Gallop On: The Story Behind One of Backstretch Outfitters Co.'s Most Meaningful Designs
More Than a Shirt. A Reminder to Keep Moving Forward.
At Backstretch Outfitters Co., every design begins with a story.
Some are inspired by the early mornings on the backstretch. Others by the determination of Thoroughbred racehorses that refuse to quit. But every once in a while, a design comes along that means something even deeper.
Our "Keep the Faith, Gallop On" hoodie and shirt are exactly that.
This design is about faith, perseverance, friendship, and the quiet strength that carries us through life's toughest races.
Inspired by a Lifelong Friend
The inspiration behind this collection comes from our lifelong friend, David Norrie.
David and I have known each other since elementary school. While life has taken us down different paths, one thing has remained constant—his unwavering faith and his commitment to helping others become the very best version of themselves.
Today, David is an accomplished author, motivational speaker, health advisor, and someone who genuinely lives what he teaches. His message isn't simply about success—it's about trusting God, serving others, overcoming adversity, and continuing forward when life becomes difficult.
That message resonated deeply with us.
As we began discussing new ideas for Backstretch Outfitters Co., we wanted to create something that reflected David's outlook while staying true to the horse racing community that has become our family.
That's where "Keep the Faith, Gallop On" was born.
Why "Gallop On"?
Anyone involved in Thoroughbred racing understands one simple truth:
Every horse faces adversity.
There are setbacks.
There are injuries.
There are disappointing races.
There are mornings when nothing goes according to plan.
Yet every sunrise brings another opportunity to saddle up, head to the track, and keep moving forward.
Life isn't much different.
Whether you're dealing with family struggles, health challenges, career uncertainty, financial stress, or simply trying to become a better version of yourself, there are moments when quitting feels easier than continuing.
Our message is simple.
Keep the Faith. Gallop On.
Not because life is easy.
Because the finish line is still ahead.
