While the info contained on this page is primarily for customers ordering custom designs, our shipping info applies to all customers. Specifically: we do not offer rush shipping at this time. All orders are Standard Flat-Rate shipping.
Custom Designs (Your Silks, Your Brand)
You don't need to be a Roman Charioteer to print your label on your gear. Everyone is welcome at Backstretch Outfitters. Our customers use our products to showcase their silks and brands, to outfit their teams, even to express solidarity on the part of horse racing spectators and aficionados.
Here's what you need to know about our purchase-and-printing process.
How our system works
Our custom designs system is two-part. You purchase the product. Then we get in touch with you to discuss your needs as well as claim your graphics.
Please note that we do not create custom artwork for you. You need to give us what you want printed.
Graphics
Custom graphics Formats
We require "print-ready" files from you for all your custom artwork (i.e., silk, brand, or other graphics). Your art file must be in one of these formats: (AI, SVG, PDF) for scalability and clarity; or high-resolution raster files (PNG, JPG, PSD) at 300 DPI, especially PNG for transparency, ensuring designs are vibrant and sharp. We encourage a transparent background for items like silks or logos, else the background will print in whatever color you send it to us.
Not sure what any of the above means? It means you're not creating the artwork yourself but that a designer has done or is doing it for you. If you don't have the files on hand, ask your designer to give you a set in any of the above formats. If it's a silk or logo, make it clear to them you need the background to be transparent. They'll know exactly what you're asking for.
Once you have the file(s) send it to us using the Upload Artwork form on this site, or email the artwork to the address on your order confirmation.
We'll take it from there.

Graphics Placement
Our products show a graphic front and back. Though we recommend the locations pictured, you are not restricted to these locations (for example, the breast pocket area of a shirt). You can place it or size it to work with your needs. Just tell us what you want. If you make no special request, then you will receive your product with the graphics placement pictured in the product.

Will my art print at different sizes on different size apparel?
No, all artwork on a product will print the same size across all sizes.

Backstretch Outfitters does not check copyright and does not assume responsibility for copyright infringement. That's on you. We simply take what you give us and run it through our printer.
SHIPPING/DELIVERY
Delivery/Turn-around times
We ship most orders within 2 to 4 business days. Then add 2 to 5 days for shipping, depending on your location. For custom designs, note that the clock starts ticking only once we've received your print-ready artwork.
Shipping rates (estimate only)
We use standard flat-rate shipping which includes tracking, allowing you to easily monitor the progress of all orders.
Shipping is calculated based on the below product categories. The first item in each category for a given order will carry the “First Item” price. Any additional items a customer purchases of the same category will then incur the “Additional Items” prices.
Contiguous US:
- Heavyweight (sweatshirts) $7.99 + $2.50 / additional item
- Lightweight (t-shirts) $4.99 + $1.50 / additional item
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico:
- Heavyweight (sweatshirts) $15.00 + $3 / additional item
- Lightweight (t-shirts) $6.99 + $2.50 / additional item
Canada:
- Heavyweight (sweatshirts) $16.25 + $8 / additional item
- Lightweight (t-shirts) $9.25 + $3 / additional item
